Tanabe Rubber Baseball Club Co., Ltd.

The Tanabe Rubber Baseball Club belongs to the Itoigawa City Baseball Federation.

There are people who have experienced high school baseball, and people who want to spread friendship through baseball and start playing baseball after joining a company. The baseball team consists of 26 players (the oldest active player is 58 years old, the youngest is 18 years old) and 2 staff members.

The Itoigawa City Baseball Federation holds three tournaments each year: the Itoigawa Baseball Federation Cup (spring), the Tanabe Co., Ltd. Cup (summer), and the Itoigawa Mayor's Cup (autumn). The Tanabe Cup, sponsored by our company, began in 1977 and has been used to promote baseball among local company teams and club teams. Approximately 30 teams participate every year, and it is held on a grand scale, and has established itself as an opportunity for mutual exchanges among young people and middle-aged people who are rooted in the community.

The Tanabe Baseball Club used to be a member of the All Japan Rubber Baseball Federation and played an active role in the Niigata Prefecture Tournament as a representative of the Joetsu district, but for the past few years it has been far from winning due to generational changes. However, in recent years, many young employees with high school baseball experience have joined the company, and it has become a force that can challenge the All Japan Rubber Baseball Federation again. Currently, we are aiming to win the tournament in the city and rejoin the All Japan Rubber Baseball Federation.
