While studying sports science and sports psychology in college, he was a member of the college baseball team. I had to leave the team early in the second half of my junior year of college due to a knee injury, so I started looking for a job a little earlier than everyone else at the time. Since I didn’t know what kind of job I wanted to do, I attended many joint company information sessions, went to booths that had open seats, and listened to presentations on various industries and job types. Within the General Affairs Department, I primarily work in recruitment. I essentially serve as the point of contact for college students seeking employment and job seekers, and I handle a variety of recruitment-related tasks on a daily basis, such as providing company information, coordinating recruitment screening schedules, and following up with candidates afterward.
Although I don’t work in a department that actually manufactures products within our manufacturing company, I find it enjoyable and rewarding to help create a comfortable working environment for employees in other departments through recruitment, internal training, and workplace improvements.
When I was considering changing jobs from my previous position, I was looking for a job based on the following criteria: 1. that it be a local company; 2. that it be a company deeply rooted in the community and contributing to it; and 3. that I could utilize my experience from my previous job. This company met all of those criteria.
Even for small and medium-sized enterprises in regional areas, it is important to foster a more open and communicative workplace environment in order to become an attractive company that draws the interest of college students looking for jobs and other job seekers.
