April 2009–
(New Graduate Hire) Assigned to a sales position at Tanabe Co., Ltd.
[Scope of Work and Achievements]
He joined the company with the goal of returning to his hometown to work for a local business. After joining the company and completing a three-month training period, I was assigned to the Tokyo headquarters (Sales) and transferred back to Tokyo. The company's operations will focus primarily on sales activities for the maintenance business related to melting processes, which is its core business. March 2010–
(Transfer) Transferred to the sales department responsible for development and planning
[Scope of Work and Achievements]
Due to economic conditions and the workload situation in other departments, I was transferred to the sales department responsible for development and planning. The company primarily focuses on business development related to superheated steam utilization technology (new product development) and sales operations for special nuclear power projects. So, in addition to my daily duties, I received training from my supervisor at the time in specialized fields such as thermodynamics and mechanical engineering—knowledge essential for a technology company—with the goal of becoming a sales engineer. October 2016–
(Promotion) Promoted to Section Chief
[Scope of Work and Achievements]
As part of the reorganization of the Sales Division, I was appointed as a group leader and promoted to section chief. He was a member of the Heat Systems Group, where he focused primarily on building and expanding the business related to superheated steam technology. October 2019–
(Promotion) Promoted to Section Chief
[Scope of Work and Achievements]
He was promoted to section chief that same year. By expanding business operations both domestically and internationally, as well as participating in professional associations (as a subcommittee secretary), the company broadened its horizons across a wide range of fields and established collaborations between manufacturers and among users. |
As a sales representative specializing in superheated steam technology, I provide product recommendations and system proposals. In addition to standard sales duties, I lead internal business initiatives and work to expand sales of Tanabe products through trade shows and presentations.
Even though the majority of our clients are large corporations, I’ve been given responsibility for projects from an early stage in my career, allowing me to take on work that requires a sense of responsibility. I can also see how my skills are improving through my work.
The fact that it was a local company.
Building a stable business foundation. Since equipment sales fluctuate significantly throughout the year, we aim to establish a system and track record that will ensure stable demand and sales.
I want to build facilities and systems that are widely recognized and develop businesses that contribute to decarbonization, the SDGs, and the circular economy.
